Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 7, 2026
Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Permissions Auditor for Jira.
By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the service.
Eligibility and Authority
You may use the service only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement and, where applicable, are authorized to act on behalf of your organization.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
The Service
Permissions Auditor for Jira is a read-only auditing and reporting service for Jira Cloud. The service is designed to help users analyze permissions, roles, groups, and related access configuration, and to generate reports and exports based on that information.
Based on the product's current design, the service is intended to operate on Atlassian-hosted infrastructure and within the Atlassian ecosystem. The service does not promise specific compliance outcomes, uninterrupted availability, or that it will satisfy every audit, legal, or security requirement.
We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time, subject to applicable law.
Accounts and Access
Access to the service may require valid Atlassian or related platform credentials, permissions, or marketplace access.
You are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials;
- ensuring that users who access the service through your organization are authorized to do so;
- promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access or misuse.
We are not responsible for activity that occurs through your accounts or systems due to your failure to maintain appropriate security practices.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the service in violation of law, regulation, or third-party rights;
- interfere with or disrupt the service or related systems;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or environments;
- reverse engineer, copy, modify, or create derivative works of the service except as permitted by law;
- use the service to develop or support a competing product through improper means;
- misuse exported data or use the service for unlawful surveillance, discrimination, or other prohibited activity.
Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- obtaining and maintaining all rights, permissions, and consents needed for us to access or process relevant Jira and Atlassian data on your behalf;
- reviewing reports and exports before relying on them for operational, compliance, or legal purposes;
- managing how exported files are stored, shared, and retained after export;
- configuring and administering your Atlassian environment and user access appropriately.
You acknowledge that the usefulness of the service depends in part on the accuracy, completeness, and availability of data provided through Jira, Atlassian APIs, and your own environment.
Intellectual Property
The service, including its software, design, content, features, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the service for your internal business purposes.
Except for this limited right, no license or other rights are granted to you.
Third-Party Services
The service depends on third-party platforms and services, including Atlassian products, infrastructure, APIs, and marketplace systems. Your use of those third-party services is governed by the applicable third-party terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party products or services, including their availability, functionality, security, or data handling practices.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if we reasonably believe that:
- you have violated these Terms;
- your use poses a security, legal, or operational risk;
- continued access is no longer commercially, technically, or legally feasible.
You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and take other steps we consider appropriate.
